Dr. Asad Khan is the Chief Executive Officer of Kent Displays, Inc. Dr. Khan has been an employee at Kent Displays since 1995, serving as the Vice President of Technology before being promoted to Chief Technical Officer in 2009 and then to Chief Executive Officer in 2020.

Dr. Khan has overseen the product research and development of Kent Displays’ technologies, as well as the engineering, quality, and manufacturing of products. His expertise has been instrumental to the company’s strategy and evolution over the years.

Dr. Khan holds more than 20 domestic and international patents and is a co-inventor on several pending patents on cholesteric materials and displays. He has written and published numerous publications on liquid crystals.

Dr. Khan earned his M.S. in Physics and Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Kent State University, where he stays involved by acting as an adjunct professor of Chemical Physics at the Advanced Materials & Liquid Crystal Institute.

He is a contributing member of the Society for Information Displays and the Society for Optical Engineering. In 2017, Dr. Khan received the coveted American Physical Society Prize for Industrial Physics.
